FBC History

In 1960 two preacher boys from Bob Jones University, Bill Gustafson and Pat Melton, came to the Simpsonville area to see if there was interest in starting a church. On September 25, 1960, the first meeting of Faith Baptist Church was held in a gas station on Hwy 14, with 18 charter members.

In 1963, Dr. Norman Eoute was called as pastor of Faith and continued in ministry here for the next 45 years. Under Dr. Eoute’s leadership, FBC became involved in the community of Simpsonville and saw the establishment of our current church site and buildings.

In 2009, after the home-going of Pastor Eoute, the church called Rev. Greg Ince as the next pastor. Having served as Pastor Eoute’s assistant for 24 years, Pastor Ince transitioned into the role as Senior Pastor and continues the leadership vision in both the conservative tone and standards of FBC.

In May 2011, Rev. Aaron Bryson became Assistant Pastor and in January 2021, Dr. David Parker was asked to lead the music ministry at Faith. We are thankful for years of faithful ministry in the Simpsonville, SC area and pray the Lord continues to preserve and protect our church.
