You have an Appointment With Death!
You don’t like to think about death, do you? But it is a reality that all men must face.
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” (Hebrews 9:27)
Are you Ready for Your Appointment?
Since death is certain, you must get ready for it. No one knows when death will come. You may not be here tomorrow when the sun comes up.
“Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)
Life is short — and death can come very suddenly.
“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)
Here’s The Way To Get Ready For Your Appointment:
- Admit that you are a sinner.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) - Believe that Jesus Christ died to save you from your sins.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died us.” (Romans 5:8)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) - Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior right now by asking Him to forgive your sins and come into your heart and save you.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
Your appointment could be any moment. You are only one breath from eternity.
“Behold, now is the accepted time behold, now is the day of salvation.” II Corinthians 6:2 (b)
